Christmas cards

Hi I have cards I made a while ago and am trying to catch up. I have been a bit poorly and was meant to help out at two stalls at a winter fair this Saturday just gone but my body had different ideas about that so I am now on the medication and back blogging with gusto!
I wanted to share my cards I hoped to sell but will be sending out to friends etc instead. I do like these but prefer the black and bling if I am honest.
I hope you like them...
I am off to bed now to rest more rather than playing with lost of stamps and ink pads which are calling my name from the craft room.

Advent clock workshop

Well my friend debs and I went to the craft barn today for a birthday workshop (pressie of a ticket from both of us to both of us) We were taught via the person Di Oliver, who had developed/designed the Tando kits and made them.

This is what we were making and Di's example of the completed Advent clock 

I began making this by decorating the frame first and distressing the paper to go on the background 

Next I coloured all of the embellishments and decided on the design and colour scheme as well as adding a bit of sparkle and shimmer to the design

Here is Debs also designing and making her Advent clock too.

The finished product and I am really pleased the way it turned out . I love the colours and  now am ready for Christmas  and to begin using the clock .

So true

This is really true of many crafters I know. My brain will be like this after the workshop I am due to escape to on Sunday in the craft barn. I am quite excited and look forward to making an advent clock.

Here is another creation as I wait for my second attempt at getting the said punch... (the company realised they were out of stock) groan!!!! So take two and hopefully it will arrive quickly as getting frustrated now :( I have also added inserts too and this one has not been stuck in so it is a little wrinkled!Still loving the tinsel tots....

Well having problems with cutting stamped images with circle dies. I have stamped lots of images using my old elzybell stamps, such as these and was very pleased with them

however when I came to cut them using my trusty nesties they were either too small or I had to draw and cut round them to get the right size. If I had tried to cut them with bigger nestie it would have looked silly

So I am now awaiting a new punch from amazon which is 2.25" sized and hopefully should help take some of the work away, so frustrated. Can't wait for another parcel Woohoo. 

I am getting ahead of the game here and I know Mondays are busy so I thought I would continue to share what I have made whilst attempting to get more done. I am crafting to stop myself from thinking about snacking, now I have lost almost 3 stone through a slimming club. I certainly do not want to go backwards, not that my friends would let me ;)

 Yet two more tinsel tot cards. They are soooooo cute and easy to work with....

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Well here are my first two cards from Tinsel tots, purchased from create and craft I think??? I love the images it reminds me of the children I work with in class but the pictures are better behaved lol.
Anyhow hope you like them and will try adding as I go along....

where have I been????

Well a new chapter as hoping to blog more here now... Yes I no longer have an antique gerbil running my computer. (It was definitely tired and needed a rest) So the new super duper machine I am using will help me to get the blogging mojo well and truly working again (hopefully). I feel energised and am pleased with myself as have lost lots of weight and feel a new younger version of myself (until Christmas)
I hope to be inspired and already have been, via little Claire & Claritystamp my favourite stamping places. Have a look at their gallery you will find some really lovely ideas and it is worth the effort to make some of those pictures.
I have been busy trying to make as many Christmas cards as I can with the church winter fair approaching 24th Nov I need to get a move on. I have made some cards using Tinsel tots and will post a piccie tomorrow (promise)
I also have a new drawing pad which I will begin to play with and try out, I want to see if I can make some nice clipart/digi images to colour. Anyhow better go as it is very late.... night!

Happy birthday

Well i watched hobbyart person Jenny Mayes make beautiful cards with her landscape stamps. I thought I will have a go at that and here is my first attempt. I used the Barbara Gray method of making a sun and when I had finished painting the fields etc. I sprayed a shimmer paint over it. I think it made a watery sun and an interesting effect. A happy birthday card for my mum in law.

Poorly person

Another little card a get well card for someone we know who is very poorly  and has lots if hospital visiting to do. So its kind of thinking of you and get well so hence the wording...

A glamorous Birthday

It is my hubbys cousins birthday and so he asked me to make a card.
I didn't know quite what to make and then thought what would I like to receive?
So here it is

Out for the day

Yesterday my friend her boys and I went to Morden hall park and walked around to see if the farm was open but unfortunately it was closed only for Monday. We played rounders/cricket and went onto a newly discovered playground, it even had a mini zip wire. We ate a very yummy picnic.
We walked to Merton abbey mills which has changed quite a bit since i was last there! What a lovely busy day.

It was Debbies birthday early august so as a treat I bought her a craft workshop. She chose an all day workshop called Home tweet home by Kathy Byrne. So off we went via two trains to Lingfield to our favourite shop the craft barn and it was fantastic!! We got very messy and learnt lots of different techniques and tried lots of different products we may not have normally used. Debbie said she enjoyed herself and I certainly did so a good day out. Go have a look at the workshops and try something new :)

Another Easter card

Here is another creation using hobby art stamps I found in a crafty shop in Angmering along with some other goodies oops! I used pink petticoat paper behind and coloured the images (after masking them) using promarkers. A nice simple card.

Wetlands Centre

Yesterday I went to visit the wetlands centre in barnes with the teachers I work with for risk assessments for a school visit later.











We saw a crane and lots of baby ducks

Happy anniversary

Well mum and dads anniversary is here again only 6 months before my birthday, need I say more ;) and here is a card I made for them. I would share the mothers day card but forgot to take a photo before sealing it. How many of you do that too? I can't be the only one.


This is a digi stamp from bugaboo stamps and they are funny. Well worth the visit.
